We have exciting news to share with you! Next year we’ll be opening the doors to Kingston, a brand new, luxury access friendly holiday house with a pool in the South West. All on one level, this supersized accommodation is fully accessible and will sleep up to 30, making it perfect for family gatherings, weekend celebrations, yoga retreats and corporate away days.
It’s very early days but the plans are all drawn up for the latest addition to Malherbie Group Stays’ collection of luxury large group holiday homes in Somerset. We can confirm that Kingston will be fully accessible, will sleep up to 30 guests and, like Beaverbrook 20 and Churchill 20, will have a private spa hall with a pool, hot tub and sauna, a games room, movie room and children’s play area. The enormous open-plan living space will make Kingston such an exceptional house for happy gatherings with friends and family. This will be a very special place to stay, a place where you can unwind and make the best kind of memories.
Each of our large group holiday homes is access friendly, with level flooring, ground floor bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms, stairlifts and mobility equipment available on request. Kingston has an even bigger focus on accessible stays; there are no stairs, so flooring is level throughout and there will be removeable hoists to enable the less able bodied when using the pool and hot tub, and can be utilised in 4 of the bedrooms. This is important to us as we believe that big happy group holidays are for everyone – that’s why our holiday houses are baby and toddler friendly and dog friendly; that way everyone gets to join in the fun.
Kingston will be set off a quiet lane in a sleepy Somerset hamlet, with the backdrop of the beautiful countryside. A tiny church pokes its spire above the hedge, just over a stile there’s a footpath through the fields to the pub in the neighbouring village. Just down the road is the peaceful market town of Ilminster with an award-winning butchers, local shops and an arts centre, within a few miles there are family attractions and only half an hours’ drive away is the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site for days on the beach at Lyme Regis, Branscombe or Beer.
Work starts on Kingston very soon and we’ll be posting regular updates on social media as we go along; later this year we’ll be able to start taking bookings!
