Capacity and Accommodation at our Venues

Each of our properties has been designed with space in mind, with large rooms to comfortably accommodate a range of group sizes. Each property features 10 en-suite bedrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy throughout your stay.

Smaller, more intimate groups, such as a leadership retreat or management offsite, could book a single property for around 10 guests, with everyone enjoying their own king-sized bedroom with en-suite.

For slightly larger groups, a single property, Beaverbrook 20 or Churchill 20 can sleep up to 30 guests, all in their own beds.

For even larger groups or those wanting complete privacy, both properties can be booked together, providing 20 en-suite bedrooms and sleeping up to 60 guests.

Our kitchens and dining areas are fully equipped to cater for larger groups, with all the utensils, appliances, and space needed to prepare and enjoy meals together, making group dining simple and enjoyable.

Our properties are among the few to feature wall and ceiling mounted air-conditioning units, providing both heating and cooling for year-round comfort.

Our retreats offer the perfect balance of productivity and enjoyment, with a variety of spaces designed to support both.

Each property features a dedicated meeting and presentation room, equipped with ceiling-mounted projectors and long HDMI cables for easy laptop connection. The room also offers ample seating, creating an ideal environment for presentations and group interaction.

Adjacent to this, there are spaces for small break-out groups, while the impressive nine-metre dining table provides an alternative workspace, perfect for collaboration or creative brainstorming.

Our aim is to combine the functionality of a corporate setting with the comfort and relaxed atmosphere of a retreat.

Our properties are equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi, the fastest option available for rural areas. We have also installed boosters throughout the properties to ensure optimal connectivity wherever you are on site.

For presentations and meetings, each property features a projector with HDMI connectivity, allowing easy connection to laptops.

For downtime, every stay includes a Sky Sports and Movies package, as well as Amazon Fire Stick, so you can log in to your Amazon Prime account and enjoy your favourite shows.

Our properties offer a wide range of on-site activities designed to bring teams together and encourage collaboration. Inside the property the games room provides a relaxing setting for friendly competition, with pool, table tennis, air hockey and table football.

For more structured team building, we work with trusted suppliers to deliver tailored activities across the farmland surrounding the properties. Guests have particularly enjoyed clay pigeon shooting, with the option to swap this for laser clay pigeon shooting or archery as required.

Beyond traditional team building, we also offer a variety of themed packages and leisure activities providing enjoyment and encouraging promoting team bonding - including experiences like Murder at the Mansion, casino nights, cocktails and games evenings, pampering and beauty treatments and even petting zoos.

Accessibility and Travel Connections

Accessibility

All of our properties are designed to be accessible and welcoming for all guests. Each property features a bedroom that has a wet-room en-suite, and we can provide additional equipment such as a toilet frame, and shower chair if required. Stairlifts are available providing access to the cinema and games room at each respective property, ensuring everyone can enjoy all the areas of the property comfortably.

Travel Connections

We are well connected to main road networks such as the A303 which brings you to Ilminster our closest town, this would be the quickest way to drive from London the average journey taking around 2 hours 45 minutes. If you are travelling via the motorway you can leave at Junction 25 at Taunton and it's a further 25 minute car journey.

Travelling by the rail network there are two options, the Taunton train station is well connected, for commuters travelling from London there is a superfast option that takes 1 hour 45 minutes. Alternatively, Crewkerne train station is about an 18 minute drive to our properties.

For international clients both Bristol and Exeter airports are within roughly an hours drive from us.

Dining and Catering options for your Corporate Retreat

Every property is self-catering, with facilities that have been equipped to cater for up to 30 guests at each location.

We have excellent connections with local chefs and caterers many of whom have worked in our properties on numerous occasions and know their way around our kitchens.

We would be more than happy to put you in touch to cater for you, alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own caterers or simply enjoy cooking yourselves.

Booking Options and Pricing

Hiring One Property

A single property is ideal for corporate groups of up to 30 team members. This option provides exclusive use of the property’s facilities, ensuring privacy and focus for your team while keeping costs competitive on a per-person basis.

Smaller teams are equally welcome - many companies book for 10–20 team members and still enjoy the property exclusively, making it perfect for more intimate strategy sessions or leadership retreats.

Hiring Two Properties Together

For larger retreats, hiring both properties increases capacity to up to 60 team members, with access to all facilities across both venues for the duration of your stay.

That said, some corporate groups prefer to book both properties for smaller teams, ensuring every team member has their own bedroom and maximising comfort, personal space, and opportunities for relaxation between sessions.

Pricing Structure

Our pricing is clear and straightforward. Each property is based on 20 team members, with an additional cost per team member for numbers above this the price of which depends on your length of stay.

Sustainability and Modern Facilities

We have made our properties as sustainable as possible, including renewable energy sources like solar where we can, to help reduce our reliance on the grid. Whilst promoting local food suppliers and caterers, to reduce the carbon footprint as much as we can, whilst supporting local businesses.

We are aware of the impact of waste on the environment, thats why we provide recycling bins for different types of rubbish to make sure we are doing our part.

FAQs for Corporate Retreats

What types of stay do we offer?

We offer flexible stay options designed to suit a variety of group needs. You can choose a full seven-night stay starting on either a Monday or a Friday, a three-night weekend break from Friday to Monday, or a four-night mid-week stay from Monday to Friday.

The mid-week option tends to be our most popular choice for corporate retreats, offering the perfect balance of productivity and relaxation. It is also the most cost-effective stay, providing excellent value without compromising on luxury.

Check-in and Check-out details

Check-in is from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival. If our changeover from the previous guests is completed sooner, we will always do our best to welcome you earlier, although this cannot be confirmed in advance.

Check-out is by 10:00 am on your departure day. You are, of course, welcome to leave earlier if you wish, but we kindly ask that the property is vacated by 10:00 am so our housekeeping team can begin preparing the space for our next guests.

Payment terms for your stay

To secure your booking and reserve your dates, we ask for a 20% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is then due three months before your stay.

If you are booking within three months of your arrival date, the full balance will be payable at the time of booking.

We also take a refundable security deposit of £1,000 per property, which is due one week before your stay. This is simply in place to cover any accidental damage or major breakages. The deposit is returned quickly after your departure, and if there is ever a need for a deduction, we will always discuss this with you first.

This is a standard requirement for most large properties and helps us keep everything in excellent condition for all our guests.

Can guests use external Suppliers not listed on your website?

Yes, we’re happy to work with new suppliers and do our best to accommodate guest requests. Some activities may take place on surrounding farmland, but as its part of a working farm, we’ll need to speak with any incoming supplier first to ensure plans align with expectations and current land use.

Does every guest have their own bed?

Yes, every guest will have their own bed. Depending on the size of your group, this may be a king-size or a single bed.
